First, let me start off by saying that I don’t live on the Carolina coastline. I live in the upstate, Greenville to be exact. A large section of my family lives in the Charleston area, and that is where my family hails from - but I was born and raised in Greenville. Even though I’m not on the coast, we still have the same problem up here. They take your beach parking and space on the sand, for us they clog our already congested city streets, they don’t respect how clean we keep our downtown area, and litter and trash the mountains and lakes. And half the wrecks on I-85 , from the GA border to the NC border, involves someone from Ohio. Let me share a true story with you. Around a month ago, one of my roommates invited her boyfriend down for the weekend. He, as you may have guessed, is from Ohio. Now, me being born and raised here, I was ofcourse taught to always be polite, no matter how little they deserve it. He came into town while I was at work, but when I came home my first impression of him was his over all bad attitude towards anything and everything. He complained incessintly about everything (especially about the Buckeye’s and how they were robbed of the national title). When I tried to point out that Ohio State was absolutely owned during the game, he just got angry and walked outside. He proceeded then to drink all of our liquor while we we’re all out at work, left his dirty laundry and dirty dishes all over our living room, and ate (in one weekend) almost 75 dollars worth of groceries. He was invited to stay from friday until sunday - he did not leave until late wednesday. His low level of respect and the way in which he treated my house and my roommates, I think, is a good representation of how his fellow Ohioans treat our beautiful state. Ya’ll aren’t alone down there, they’re trying to take over the entire Palmetto State.
Not everyone who lives in Ohio is there voluntarily. I personally did almost 20 years thhere through no fault of my own. It was the dastardly Borden Company that was too cheap to build a bigger headquarters in NY and ended up moving 400 families to the All-American City of Columbus, where at that time Velveeta was considered a gourmet product. Thank you God for showing me the way South, where I have tried to acclimate and not dilute the Culture. I’m stayin’.
a prime example of how ridiculous ohioans are comes straight from their e-mails to this site….they love to spout off about how crappy SC is, how stupid her natives are, how terrible roads, taxes, and everything else is….then why, OH WHY, would you ever want to move here? just leave us to waller in our own filth….it’s sort of like the brier rabbit and the briar patch….we actually LIKE it the way we made it….you trashed your state, don’t come down here and trash ours. (Prime example….ya’ll caught the Cuyahoga river on fire with pollution….our pristine May River is fast dying becuase of…you guessed it….oustiders….with their stupid jetboats, no less….that’s not only Ohio, it’s gay!)
I’m SC born and raised….and I know Ohio is a dump…i’ve had the distinct displeasure of being there….i don’t care if they were giving land and mansions away up there I wouldn’t go.
Go back to Ohio you snobbish, opinionated, self righteous, hypocritical, wastes of genetic material! And take a New Jersian with you!
Keep up the good work!!!! I would like to ask the ass (from ohio) who said he can surf better than us, How often do you check the surf report for the lake erie. Hey dumb ass we(the natives) have been surfing since we could stand up on our own. So get fucked go home and take an ohion with you!!!
Keep up the great work on this site!!! This is very important, we are losing the charm in our great coastal town because of these dicks because they are beeing dicks!!!
Many Thanks
The Captain
Any one else getting a kick out of the Hate Mail section? They are acting exactly how this site portrays them. Once again, if the South sucks soooooo badly, go home. We like it just fine and would love it even better if you went home to the grand Mecca of Ohio. Keep up the good work, Go Back to Ohio.
Much like birds, Ohioans flock to “mating grounds” in search of the perfect mate. Due to the high number of desirable mates in South Carolina (and, more specifically, Charleston), males and females migrate here.
The female Ohioan is attracted to the ruggedly handsome and charming (and much more polite) Southern man and the male Ohioan is attracted to the highly refined beauty yet tom-boy “let’s go camping” qualities of the Southern woman.
Naturally, the Southern male and female do not respond to the Ohio mating call “Buckeyes rule” or “In Ohio, we …”. So, as the pool of available Southern mates turns them down, they discover the one mating call that gets them a mate in South Carolina: “I’m a local.”
Of course this call only works on other migrating Ohioans and both usually end up as mates since they are now “locals” of South Carolina.
Like the frogs in Australia, all attempts to erradicate the Ohio species from South Carolina have failed. If steps aren’t taken soon, the Ohioans will soon take over the entire state and we will no longer hear the beautiful mating call of the South Carolina male “Where y’all from?” and the responsive South Carolina female calling back “Charleston.”
I’m originally an Ohioan. Here’s why I came down here, and here’s why I stayed.
My dad’s job moved down here about eight years ago because of South Carolina’s effort to bring in out of state and foreign businesses with low taxes, subsidies, etc. My dad came with the company he works for, and my family came with him. I’ll be the first to admit it - I thought we were moving to a backwater, redneck state. Sure, there’s things that are wrong with SC and sometimes fit that stereotype, but we were all proved wrong when we moved down here. We wondered why all our new neighbors waved at us, why everyone was so friendly. But you know what? We loved it. People generally aren’t like that in Ohio. Soon, we became porch-sitting, waving people ourselves.
I love South Carolina. I love the Lowcountry, I love the Upstate, I love the new culture and history I’ve come into contact with.
Ohio’s okay. The only things I miss about it are my extended family and the leaves changing in the autumn (don’t miss the winter, though - my dad still says the happiest day of his life was when he gave away the snowblower and I agree). But I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else, because - despite the message you’re sending out on this website - I still think most Southerners are the friendliest, most welcoming people I’ve ever met. And I’m glad to be here even if ya’ll don’t want me to be.
I am a 5th generation Charlestonian, born and raised on Sullivan’s Island, and am readily anticipating my move from my only home. This does not remotely resemble, what so ever, the islands I was raised on not too long ago. I want my child raised in a home town where life doesn’t revolve around the status of ones zip code due to the cost of living. There is a resident on Isle of Palms that actually has 29451 as their vanity car plate. I state these these due to the dramatic increase of tourist, Ohioians amoung others, relocating to the area, driving up the cost of living and in my opinion ruining what this town once was.
I was employed in the hospitality industry for many years that began in my teenage years. I worked at Wild Dunes and Kiawah resorts for many of these years. In speaking with visitors, Ohio was always the prominent state I heard repeatedly. I often asked these visitors why Charleston. Over time with no clear answer, I later realized that the resorts targeted Ohio with advertising and family vacation packages. Myrtle Beach is closer but Charleston has much more to offer in history, restaurants and self contained resorts, particularly back 10 to 20 years ago.
I agree entirely with this websites views but I believe that its too little too late. Charleston officials, the Charleston Chamber of Commerce take pride in luring in the tourist for finacial gain. Well, they have suceeded in bringing in the tourist but they also suceeded in ruining a wonderful home town because the tourist do not leave; they stay and bring more with them.
I wish all of the locals good luck with saving their home, I have opted to leave and search for a new home; perhaps a small safe town with NO RESORTS.
Thank you for a website that allows the real locals a place to vent thier frustrations while watching their home disappear. Good Luck Ya’ll!
I don’t understand what the big problem is, us relocated northeners have Mount Pleasant, downtown(below calhoun street anyways) and IOP. Me and my relocated northern friends stay in these areas 99% of the time and it is perfect. I can’t wait till they build the new Circuit City, Kohls and Super Wal-Mart in Mt. P, I’ll never have to leave then. The southerns have Folly Beach, West Ashley, Upper down town, North Charleston, Goose Creek, Ladson, Monks Corner, Summervile and… well all the way up I26 you can have too. The only time I realise I am actually in the South is when i enter any of these said areas, and trust me it is done strictly on a need-to basis. Anyways, the bottom line is we are here to stay, so if you have a problem with that why dont you be the first state to secede from the union again (that worked out pretty well didn’t it?). So please stop the whining, put down the bottle of moonshine and enjoy the money that your state is making off of us (#1 source of state income BTW).
Being a Kentucky native, I can attest to the attrocities of the Ohio driver.
When they finally DO decide to get out of the passing lane (i.e. they had to turn right), they will absolutelt not let you pass them without red-lining the tach.
Ex.- Cruise control set on 77mph. Desolate highway. You come up on a car and get over to pass. The asshole speeds up as soon as you get next to them. As you look down at the speedo and see you’ve topped 85mph, you will slam on the brakes, let the bastard ahead…and sure enough see the OHIO TAG.
And wait until you see the Ohio Navy cruising down I-75 on their way to Lake Cumberland. Think their driving is bad enough? Slap a 21 footer on the end of the bumper. Grab some popcorn, a camcorder, and a few friends.
By the way, I attended a 3 month joy camp called Parris Island a few years ago. I figured that made it OK to move here for good. I am also signing up for the SCLoS next month. I hope I am accepted…..shrimp and grits forever!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a native of South Carolina and as far as I am concerned all other southerners are welcome to SC.. We just don’t like the Yanks and Buckeye Nuts from OH.
Buckeye = 1. any of various trees or shrubs of the genus Aesculus, as A. glabra (Ohio buckeye), having palmate leaves, gray, scaly bark, and bell-shaped greenish-yellow flowers in upright clusters: the state tree of Ohio.
2. the brown nut of any of these trees.
3. (initial capital letter) a native or inhabitant of Ohio (used as a nickname).
I agree with Blufftonian above. They have taken over here in Bluffton, Beafort and Hilton Head.. We have SUN CITY that is full of those old crabby Ohio yankees. GO HOME YANKEE! We don’t give a damn how you do it up north..

What do you think would happen to all of these school districts if they took this site’s advice? I asked my boss why it was that a lot of the teachers were from somewhere other than SC. Her reply, “The teachers up north are better educated, we just can’t find enough qualified teachers from here.” While visiting Ohio this past spring I can’t tell you how many commericals were for either visitng or going to live in SC. I believe you should talk to your local politicians and business people and tell them to stop trying to get so many “Yanks” down here. Also, why is there so many Virginia battle flags flying around your state?
Want to talk about education? FACT: In the most recent poll (2006), where 1 being the highest rank, SC is ranked 26th in the nation for “smartest state”, Ohio is 34th (according to Morgan Quinto Press - State and City Ranking Publications). According to the US Census Bureau for number of college graduates, SC ranks 38 where Ohio is 41.
WB - Great info. Even Kentucky ranks higher than Ohio! From what I’ve seen of KY, that’s not sayin’ much for Ohio but I’d rather live next to someone from KY than OH any day.
The week after Thanksgiving several years back, I had to go to company HQ in northwest Ohio. I went to the local Walmart one evening to kill some time. What did they have parked out front? Riding mowers with snow plows on the front. But the kicker was that there was a sort of plastic tent over the seat where you zipped yourself in to keep from the elements. WTF?????? Screw that. I’m keeping my @$$ in Dixie!
WB, hey man, how about using numbers from the United States Department of Education and the National Assessment of Educational Progress. You need to find some more credible stats man.
Teach, My resources are plenty credible. Look them up. If you have something that contradicts my findings, post it (w/reference). Every poll will be a little different, but should be generally close. Neither place you’ve suggested (ed.com & nea.com) had anything that I could find that was relative to over-all national rankings in scholastic aptitude. They are very circuitous sites to navigate. Maybe you will have better luck.
This report is from: NAEP is a congressionally mandated project of the
National Center for Education Statistics within the
Institute of Education Sciences of the U.S. Department
of Education. The Commissioner of Education Statistics
is responsible, by law, for carrying out the NAEP project
through competitive awards to qualified organizations.
Antonio, look what you have done yo those places you have inhabited. You are turning them into Anytown, Ohio, albeit in a much more beautiful locale.
You see, there are problems with those stores you mention. They have no uniqueness, no local flair, they can be found anywhere! They have their places in this country where they serve a good purpose but not here in the low-country. (No offense ,midlands and upstate)
Look how well the money your bringing in is working for us. House prices go up, taxes go up and our schools remain sub-par! Thanks for the help, it’s doing a wealth of good.
I wish you would stay here only if you are willing to adapt to our way of life and beliefs. But, it’s a free country, at least until ya’ll infiltrate every other state.
BTW: That secession joke was quite humorous and original.
If uniqueness means being beaten up (or, sans the hyperbole, being given extremely bad and rude service) for being out of town, you can keep your damn uniqueness.
I just morn the Charlston where I grew-up. The influx of carpetbaggers has changed the market, the landscape, the cost of living and the general conciousness of our south. The same reasons they migrate to the south they are destroying. When I told a student of mine that he ought not back-talk his mother and that he should say yes ma’am because our mothers care so much for us and they only give us directions for a good reason, I was told by his Ohioan parent that “WE don’t say ‘yes ma’am’ at our house”.
As far as I am concerned, that is the problem. Maybe you don’t respect your mother in Ohio but, here we honor our mothers and our elders and we respect others by using terms like sir and ma’am and please and thank you. And, this is the manner in which we would prefer you speak to us. The day that starts happening, the day you respect our way of life and treat these locals appropriately is most likely the day that we will stop resenting your presence quite as much as we do.
Tiny Tim, I will gladly keep our uniqueness thank you. Are you sure though that your server(s) are not people from Ohio themselves? Just curious.
I will say that I receive bad service occasionally but I put it down to it either being a bad day for that person or they hail from Ohio.
After visiting DC as of late I have to say it seems you have done a fantastic job of influencing those folks as well.
When will this madness end?
I’ve got a news flash for you guys: all those Ohio license tags you see crowding our streets? Manyof them are PERMANENT RESIDENTS. Ohioans don’t pay car taxes so many of them just continue to register their vehicles up there for years and years.
Yes friends, in addition to their complete lack of redeeming qualities, these Ohioans are also tax evaders.
Pass it on to any of your friends in Law Enforcement. Let’s hit the loathesome buckeyes where they live: in the wallets hidden beneath those pasty fat asses.
Teach- That just the 8th grade 2 years ago and SC and OH are fairly close in stats. We know SC education isn’t the best, but it’s hard for the system to accomodate for the influx of transplants…it’s a well known fact that the schools are over run with transplanted students now. We’re out of space with no funds to build more…bigger…better schools. 20 years ago here, there were a LOT less students per classroom. Wando High only had a few hundred students, now it in the thousands. Since Hugo, the population in this town has more than tripled.
Theory 6 is incomplete and is part of the problem. Southern Gentlemen and Ladies rightfully ignore the Ohioan mating calls. The result, as stated, causes the Ohio male and female to “get together” and the result of that action is more Ohioans to infiltrate South Carolina. Carolinians are unwittingly exacerbating their problems. What you need to do is woo the opposite sex Ohioan to meet you in Georgia. Then, when they show up, head home.
If you do not like our way of life in the South ie, Charleston, don’t try to change it, GO HOME.
You came here in the first place because you liked our way of life.Don’t Change It
By the way know matter how long you live in Charleston you will never be a Charlestonian, that Honor is only for those of us who were actually born here. By the way we don’t need your money either, it just leeds higher cost of living and higher taxes. We were doing ok without you. Maybe we will get another Hugo and drive you all out of our state, maybe Arkansas or Kansas will take you. One more thing we breed mosquitoes just to cut done on the number of Ohioans. They don’t bother us Rednecks!
Go Dixie!!!
It’s not my fault, I was recruited because my talents and engineering expertise could not be found in this area of the world. I didn’t come down here on my own will. I was head hunted for a handsome salary and I’m more than happy to line my pockets with your states/cities money.
ThaManagement - You sure have a talent at being an arrogant cocky SOB don’t you?! FYI, Some of the best engineering schools in the country are SC, NC and GA. I don’t blame you for wanting to get out of that crap hole excuse for a city. I’d fear for my life if I lived in such a crime ridden gangster place. Just remember, we really don’t care how you did it in Philly, so when in our city, keep your thoughts to yourself.
I read over this site and would like to submit my letter to those people from Ohio who have posted. It is below:
I must say that I was taken aback when I came across some of the comments posted by some immigrant, former residents of Ohio. As I read, I couldn’t help but laugh as I came upon reason after reason why any sane person would never consider visiting to South Carolina. Yet here they are living here. It certainly makes me question their integrity as well as their intelligence.
If our fine state is so disgustingly horrid, then why are so many Ohioans moving here? I’m left to conclude that either their declarations of our inadequacies must be severely overstated or they are correct yet still view South Carolina as a step up from their native home in the North. Since I’ve never visited that state, I’ll dare not make any disparaging remarks about it. Still…it makes me wonder.
I do have to comment on a few historical notes from these transplanted Yankees. South Carolina has a long and proud history of independence. We struggled for our independence from England, and two generations later found ourselves struggling again against an even more oppressive empire. Each time we stood by our state and fought for what we believed. It was our goal in both of these merely to be left alone and allowed to live our peaceful life as we had for centuries. But when the invaders came, we fought to protect our way of life and those dear people that we loved. It is still our goal today to preserve our peaceful way of life against the onslaught of Northern invaders.
Many people are attracted to our fair state because of what we offer. There’s nothing finer than a Carolina Spring and sitting around a picnic table enjoying some sweet tea and some friendly conversation. We’re a gracious and courteous people, and we really don’t mind others coming to appreciate what we have here. It’s a compliment, and Southerners always politely, yet humbly, acknowledge compliments. But I find it a bit offensive for these people to come here and enjoy our hospitality on one hand and criticize the very thing they’re taking advantage of on the other.
There are many who find the thought of allowing another Ohioan to enter and attempt to destroy our way of life absolutely ridiculous. We had our share of Ohio hospitality when William Sherman visited our fair state. To accept more is a bit unsettling – to say the least. Still, we are a forgiving people. We read the Bible and know that it is right to treat others as we wish to be treated. Perhaps that’s why Charleston is frequently rated as the friendliest place in America. It’s no wonder that so many people from North of Dixie end up down here. We don’t hold that against you. After all, not everyone was fortunate enough to have been born and raised Southern.
Our way of life was established and proven long before there ever was an Ohio. It’s a good way of life, and we have a beautiful state. We accept your compliment when you move here to settle. We realize that you couldn’t have given us a bigger one than that. But let me give you a little lesson in Southern hospitality. It’s not polite to show up at your guest’s house and criticize the cooking. Enjoy the deep fried-food and understand that we don’t really care how you cook it up North. If we wanted that, we’d be moving to Ohio rather than the other way around.
We would like to know one thing though: What in the blue blazes is a buckeye?
Ohio was transformed into a safe heavan for American Communist during the Cold War. The influx of Ohioans marks the begning of their plan to convert all the Chistians to a strict for of athiestic communism similar to that of China, and were better to start besides the Holy City.
One teacher here, not at the Academic Magnet, is from Ohio. However he seems to have developed a higher form of culture similar to that of Southerners. He describes that the reason for coming to Charleston was originaly because Ohioans are from birth trained to want to escape and spread the Ohioan ideals to the rest of the United States. Although this may be some form of trickery, I personaly believe this as a viable truth.
Columbia, S.C. - May 16, 2007 - Gov. Mark Sanford today signed into law Act No. 266 - limiting the influx of retirees and immigrants from several northern states.
The Reduction in Transfer (known locally at the RIT law) caps the number of retirees and transplants Michigan, Indiana, New York, and especially Ohio that may settle in South Carolina to FY 2006 numbers. In effect, said legislative aide Barry Kamp, “In order for people from those states to permanently take residence in South Carolina, a like number must leave the state or become deceased.”
Gov. Sanford, speaking to the legislature ex abrupto said that the law would, “limit the negative impact of North Easterners, on South Carolina culture, income, prices, and society.”
The law makes a special provision for Ohioans, requiring that two former Ohioans “exit or die” for each new Ohioan who seeks permanent residence in the state. All other states mentioned in Act 266 must adhere to the “one-for-one” provision.
The governor said official transfer forms would soon be available at all Department of Motor Vehicles offices around the state as quickly as they could be printed.
For more information, see Senate Act 266 (2007-01-266-B)
Ohio people are hitting sand bars in their boats at a surprizing rate. I talked to two guys who ran aground near folly last weekend. Could this be mother nature’s population control? Thank god for our murky water.
What are you people, a bunch of fat old women/men? Who the hell actually complains about something like this? And referring to people moving from Ohio to SC as “immigrants” is hilarious, as I wouldn’t expect less from that racist-laden state.
I live in Ohio and come down to this beautiful town to visit my daughter who works at MUSC. I am always amazed at the hospitality that I see here(just like I see in Ohio). While watching a basketball game at a local bar, I heard about this web site and decided to check it out. Is it true that this was started by a person that is from Illinois? I was really disappointed by the negative comments that I have read here. So much for “Southern Hospitality”! Charleston is a beautiful town, but so is Cleveland Ohio. Grow up!
wow…I can’t believe that there is so much prejudice from people her towards people from Northern states. First of all, I have lived in three out of the four corners of this country… and by far, I will say that I have found the worst drivers to be here. Second… the Civil war ended over a hundres years ago… GET OVER IT! move on into the 21st century PLEASE! And, while I do enjoy the history of the state, I’m going to be very happy to leave it. I have never in my life come across so many people who walk around with huge chips on their shoulders, and feel the need to be judgemental of every one. unfortunately, I have to be here for a little while, so I figure make the most of it. a person comes here expecting to see “Southern Hospitality”… and are sadly disappointed by the rudeness of the majority of the people that they meet. Thankfully, it’s not everyone, so there is some hope yet. In the meantime, those of you that are so bitchy about the people from out of state… get over yourselves. If there were no one coming in to this state, your economy would collapse, and the state would fall into more disrepair than it already has. and yes, I’m originally from MI.
Lets face it, South Carolina is the next California and Florida… It’s the new “hot spot.” The weather is ideal and you’ve got the ocean!!
I grew up in Ohio and lived in Charleston for a few months. From my experience Charleston had the same felling as Columbus, Ohio on a smaller scale.
I’ll admit that some Ohioans have a short fuse about their football. Yes, Ohioans are leaving but they still have pride in Ohio… which you may view as strange! But there are jobs in South Carolina and it’s prefect for someone with the ability to move to a warmer region.
But after reading a number of these blogs, natives of South Carolina and Ohioans both are very defensive about there respective states, and both sides are cutting down the other one… Let’s face it no one side it right. Learn to accept it!!
We can be like the dirka-dirka countries and kill each other again!! That sounds like a plan. Maybe if we have car bombs and try to kill all the ohioans or all the natives then we can end this debate!!
Ryan Brewer ring a bell for you South Carolina fans?!?! The only way you were able to beat Ohio State is by recruiting an Ohio player!! I didn’t hear you complaining then….
Will everybody just stop and take a look in the mirror please. We can defend our education with statistics (what, twenty-sixth out of fifty? Well, woo-hoo.) but anybody who has left South Carolina for five minutes can plainly see that our education is not what it ought to be. Speaker Harrell once told me to my face that SC was NEVER going to fund public education uniformly and well. We get the minibottle to fund education and then we get the lottery to fund education and all we end up with is a bunch of fat-faced politicians lording it over a bunch of gambling drunkards. If you were Google and moved to Goose Creek, whom would you hire, grads from Clemson, or from M.I.T. Stanford and CalTech? Clemson’ll be lucky to get a job sweeping.
We have trouble with so many Ohioans and others swarming us because of nobody but ourselves. We didn’t educate ourselves to participate in the hi-tech economy; we were content to surf or hunt or merely breed. But since we wanted to be rich anyway, the minute we inherited we started subdividing our birthright and selling stack-a-shacks off to whom? OHIO. So much that now our wised-up parents are having to will their lands to the conservation trusts to keep our greedy little hands off of the natural beauty that is our greatest asset. So here we are without property, dumber than ever, and neck-deep in foreigners and their foreign ways.
Stop complaining and hit the books, why don’t we. And how about let’s vote for somebody more interested in us than himself.
I have the real theory. Ohioans all vacation in Hilton Head. My family has grown up going to our beach house and we are always bombarded by mini van after mini van. My dad hates renting to Ohians because they always try and argue with the prices. Anyway, the kids have grown up vacationing there and then when they get older it is ingrained in their bitter minds that they must attend college in our great state so they go to Clemson or College of Charleston. The rest is history..and unfotunatly they stay long after because lets face it who really wants to go back to Ohio!!! The way to fix this problem would be by making it more difficult for Ohioans to get into South Carolin colleges.
I’m hearing a lot about that missing woman up in Ohio and how the search continues. I have to ask: have they looked in SC yet? That’s where they usually turn up..
I’ve got a news flash for you guys: all those Ohio license tags you see crowding our streets? Manyof them are PERMANENT RESIDENTS. Ohioans don’t pay car taxes so many of them just continue to register their vehicles up there for years and years.

Thank you for mentioning that Stonewall. I had no idea! There is a yank from Ohio who moved into a house near me well over a year or two ago and she is ALWAYS flying up and down my street. It ticks me off! She flies up and down the residential streets with her stupid Ohio plates. I think I’ll go write down her plate numbers and report her if I can.
THEY keep talking about the money the Ohioans are bringing in….Well the NAACP already tried to boycott tourism and look what has happened. More of you MF ers. Maybe all the locals should start being rude, act like the northerners and pollute downtown then maybe they wont come. If the local officials and whatnot are the ones trying to persuade you sksuf (use a mirror to translate) to come here then they are most likely Ohioans themselves trying to bring more and more and more.
P.S. I know one Ohian but he is an arrogant-selfish-and CHEAP MF er who treats his Girlfriend (also a Ohioan) like shit.

Obviously old times here are not forgotten, but these aren’t old times
anymore. I drive for a living and I’m telling you a license plate
with a Palmetto tree is a better indicator of a rude, ignorant, or
horrible driver than a plate that says Ohio. All of the really good
Ohio surfers head to California or Hawaii, Dude, that’s why you don’t
see them here. Our waves are about as high as our ranking in
education. Remember that jobs are not “ours”, but rather belong to
those who employ us. They aren’t taken by Yankees, but rather given to
those most valuable to the employer. That’s the dilemma! As for
parking, there’s plenty at the beach, if you’re willing to pay for
it. Paying your way is a concept not easily grasped by a populace that
would rather lament about how good it was when they didn’t have to.
Although not from Ohio, I am a Yankee and have dedicated my life to
improving the south. I married one of “your” women and fathered 4
half-Yankee children in a multigenerational attempt to improve the
Southern bloodline. My oldest son married a Yankee and I’m anxiously
awaiting the birth of a 75-25 Yankee dominant grandchild. I love this
place, but face it, other than sexually transmitted diseases and
poverty, we’re at bottom of the list in just about everything the
U.S.A. measures. We live in a glass house state and shouldn’t throw
stones.
I really can’t believe that people are filled with so much HATE! People PLEASE turn on CNN and get informed! There is a great big world out there. People are at war! Men and women from OUR country are dying EVERY DAY! You folks are fighting about North and South! IT’S OVER! That war ended. Children in 3rd world countries are fighting for food and life….battling against AIDS! We as in ALL of us…are destroying our planet! I think if you all sit back and look at the bigger picture you might realize how insignificant this all is. HATE BREEDS HATE. It needs to end somewhere. Set an example for future generations! GROW UP! It’s sites like this that allow SO MANY other countries to call us STUPID AMERICANS! I am ashamed!
As a resident Ohioan, I have a conspiracy theory about this alleged “migration.”
I realize that, to South Carolinians, Appomatox was not a surrender, but merely a 100-year cease fire while the South regrouped. However, unknown to most people, a formal surrender was arranged in the early 1970s. In exchange for the South’s surrender and the disbanding of the underground Confederate government (then headed by Bear Bryant), the sitting president of the United States, Richard Nixon, agreed to resign, setting the stage for the eventual reconciliation of the two governments under Jimmy Carter.
Part of the terms of the surrender included allowing the North to place a secret army of occupation in Atlanta, Charleston, and other strategic posts. The “migration” to which you refer is, in reality, said army. (Note: due to increasing tensions along the Canadian border, principally related to maple syrup production quotas, the Southern occupation is being outsourced to Mexico to hold forces available for redeployment.)
And now you know why, despite a deep and abiding desire to rejoin civilization as we know it in Ohio, so many Northerners are being forced to remain in South Carolina for the indefinite future. I have personally contributed a son, daughter, their spouses, and two grandchildren to the occupation forces. My sincere hope is that we can soon declare peace and bring them (and their jobs and money) home.
What a great website. ATTENTION OHIO VISITORS- Please stay off of Hilton Head Island. No need to take the Caravan with the luggage carrier down here. You make me sick with your Ohio State tank tops and denim shorts. You are all northern rednecks. And get a fucking map. I literally dodge two or three accidents each day and the vehicle with that stupid red, white, and blue license plate is always the cause. Akron, Dayton, Cuyahoga… those places just sound annoying. Don’t ever think that we are stupid here. We live in the place you consider paradise and laugh all the way to the bank with the money you give us. Just so you can take a break from your shitty union job and take your hag wives and annoying children on a vacation you can’t afford. Then, take your pathetic inheritance money, buy a piece of property with an interest-only loan, and have it go into foreclosure in less than a year. And the bike paths in the gated plantations have stop signs for bikers. We do not yield to bikers because it disrupts the massive volume of vehicles in our neighborhoods. It makes me sick to have to write this because I could go on forever. Just find another damn place to vacation or live. I hate you all. By the way, nobody really gives a shit about your stupid Ohio State University athetic program. I’m rich bitch!
Ok, Jim, get a grip……..have some iced tea. Only one more month, and they’ll head home with their golf clubs to get their ‘kids’ in their over rated schools.
Mean while think of the good ole’ days…….when they only thought of us as “South of the Border”.
I just have to say that I am shocked at all this negativity. I moved here in May from Ohio and absolutely do not and would not ever act like the way you are saying, Snotty, tail gating, etc… Yes I will be taking the parking spots at the beach…ITS A FREE COUNTRY!!!! Anyways I will not begin to argue the matter or get into politics to why we are here….Your town used to have no traffic on the interstates, local towns, etc but you should feel proud people want to be here. I love it so much here and meet wonderful natives everyday…I would hate to run into some of you with the negative attitudes you all have. If you choose to move out of the tri-county area because YANKEES are all over, that’s your own choice, or should I say problem…(for those who said that)
My point here is I love it here and if you would all get your head out of your ass and see its because this is just a wonderful place to visit and/or live maybe you would all appreciate it more too.
Ha ha i love the site, however i do have to admit though i was born and raised in SC i moved to Ohio about eight months ago….and i turned right around to come back. the people there are so rude. before i left SC i too felt there were more ohio plates on the road here than there were in OH.My car currently has oh plates and that will change as soon as possible. i will never doubt that SC is my home and where i belong.
Please find a way to give out some free stickers. I would pass out one hundred a day, but I can’t pay 3.99$ per sticker. There is a simple answer to all that this site is about. We (South Carolina) hate you (Ohio) enough to dedicate a website telling the world about it. If you are from Ohio, take an Ohioan back with you.
I hope that everyone in Ohio knows that they are HATED by true southerners. I am proud to say I have never crossed the Mason-Dixon line. I am well-traveled, which is why I have never been to that shit ass part of America.
The list of Shit… 1) OHIO, 2) NEW JERSEY, 3) NEW YORK, 4) PENNSYLVANIA, 5) MICHIGAN. Anyone from any of these states or neighboring states can go to hell. These Jersey shits are closing the gap quickly, but Ohio still blows the most.
Raising financial support for a new eight-lane bridge over the Cooper River was a struggle 20 years in the making, prolonged by the state’s insistence that it could not afford such a bridge and by Charleston’s reluctance to provide any funds for the project. Several proposals were made for a toll bridge, but the mayors of Charleston and Mount Pleasant objected. When officials revealed in 1995 that the Grace Bridge scored a 4 out of 100 for safety and integrity, retired U.S. Congressman Arthur Ravenel, Jr. ran for the South Carolina Senate with a goal of solving the funding problem. He helped to establish the S.C. Infrastructure Bank and worked with local, state, and federal officials to create partnerships that helped to materialize the final funding.
The State Infrastructure Bank budgeted $325 million to accompany $96.6 million from the Federal Highway Administration. The project did not become a reality, however, until the SIB agreed to commit to a $215 million federal loan, provided that Charleston County would contribute $3 million a year for 25 years, including an 8.33% sales tax increase, to the federal loan, as well as yearly payments from the SCDOT and State Ports Authority.”
If you want to hate another state, then I think you can exercise “states rights” and give back the $97 million you took from the USA to fund your bridge. How indignant.
You want to call me a Yankee SOB etc, thats just fine. If you want to change something then start acting. They’re importing Yankee’s left and right to fill skilled positions around here and I don’t see that trend stopping. So, Stop complaining and study, cause mark my words… They’re be a Yankee mayor of Charleston before long.
I can tell you why you have so many people heading to South Carolina from Ohio in four words: Ohio is fucking boring. Only people with death wishes go to Youngstown, Columbus is a breeding ground for the ignorant who like to riot, Cleveland could fall in the lake for all I’d care, Cincinnati doesn’t have a whole lot going for it, and neither does Toledo. As for the rest of the state, there’s only so much that can be said about farm country. I mean, thank a farmer if you ate today, but living out there is a challenge in its own right.
So please let me apologize for the rest of the assholes from my state that come down and muck things up. This is one buckeye girl that was polite and enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere of Charleston on her visit.
Take comfort in your own words, but know you are not wanted. You (ohio scum) are all socially undesirable in this region. Read the stickers you fucking idiots. Have you no shame?
Like the birds that migrate south for the winter, Ohio natives come as their food supplies diminish and the weather gets colder. Lacking sufficient bird brains, they do not follow the instinct to return to their breeding grounds when the days get longer again. Ohioans have become a non-native pest species, much like Canada Geese who honk and poop all over the place without making a positive contribution to the environment. The females harshly cry “I’m a big, city girl,” in hopes of compensating for their drab plumage, odd behavior, and gaping beaks. I propose, like the Canada Geese, that there be hunting licenses issued in certain seasons for population control.
How come everyone who sends in hate mail to this site is bashing SC and protesting that SC needs the help of the northern implants? If this state is so bad, why are they here? SC has beautiful beaches, great food, interesting history, and a unique culture. I have lived all over the United States and there are only a few cities that contain as much charm as Charleston. The bottom line is people should come to enjoy the culture and the atmosphere down here instead of trying to change it. If everyone learned how to park, follow street signs, and said Thank You once in a while, there wouldn’t be as much bickering.
A majority of the people I have met down here who are from OHIO are not here voluntarily. They like myself are here because of work and a good portion of them are in the military or retired. I am in the military so in approx a year and half I will be out of here and if I can keep from it I do not plan on returning. Do not get me wrong my family and I like it here atleast a lot better than Louisiana but we are just set on moving back to OHIO or back to the west coast. I am sure not everyone who comes to this site are actually as stupid as some of these replies, but as I tell my children you can not throw everyone from what ever state or country into the same pot and call them the same, everyone is different. I personally do not think that all south carolinians are racist trailer trash, because of people I randomly meet at stores or see driving around. I have met some cool people everywhere I have been from coast to coast and overseas, try not to pass judgement on people before you meet them.
Coming from Savannah today, back to Charleston where I’ve lived all my 40 years on earth, I was bored and decided I would count how many Ohio tags I would see in just that short distance on I-95. “Son-of-a-Bitch”, 52 of em. Just think of the Ohioans that have already changed their plates. This place is goin straight to hell in a hand basket. The “Green-Onion” vents again!!!!
I hope that everyone is spreading the hate about these yankee shits. I have concluded that the only way to get them back to the snow is to treat them like shit and let them know they are unwanted. I would gladly take a cut in yearly earnings if they would leave. If by chance you are an Ohioan on your way back home; please take a yankee and a mexican with you. Hope you bastards freeze to death this winter.
Speaking of Mexicans… Could we get a website dedicated to that ethnic group. Oh I forgot, we have one>> http://www.dea.gov. Check out the MOST WANTED list. Every fucking one of them is a Mexican. It is eye-opening. These greaseballs are taking over the country and they all have criminal backgrounds. Still, I would rather have a mexican living beside me than an Ohioan.
Bad news South Carolinians! Due to the flooding, more fuckers could make the move to SC. This is true. I was watching news coverage of the flooding. There was a couple from Ohio that refused to leave their residence that had three feet of water in it. The reason: they did not want to leave their treasured cats. No problem; I love pets. They had to call the Coast Guard helicopter because they had 63 goddamn cats living in their home. Imagine the filth and piss, etc. Only in Ohio would you find such morons. P.S. The lady was a heffer and she had an Ohio U shirt with a hand painted buckeye on it.
i was born in arkansas, but raised in southeast ohio. i still live here, but have a best friend that just took a job in south carolina. i have visited your beautiful state numerous times and i love it. it reminds me of our corner of ohio. people live on farms, visit each other weekly, wave at each other, have our own friendly sayings, etc…. the majority of ohio folks moving down to south carolina are the city folks, that couldn’t handle livin in the country and actually havin to work for a living! yun’s are getting the worst, most rude, inconsiderate, and filthy people from our state. we southern ohioans consider I-70 the mason-dixon line of ohio, and it holds true most of the time. we call people from up north akronites, and they hunt our land without permission, fish our ponds when we ain’t home, and steal our stuff when we sleep. i apologize on behalf of ohio for the inconvenience and hope for my frinds sake that yun’s wouldn’t classify us all as bad people and rude. some of us have true manners and have been taught to be polite, hard-working, and positive…..and that’s “good people”, even if the akronites don’t appreciate it.
This shit is hilarious. I just moved here about 2 weeks ago from NW Ohio, and heard about this the other night at the bar, not sure how anyone (even from Ohio) can’t get a laugh from this site.
-In Ohio, if you ignore an orator on Decoration day to such an extent as to publicly play croquet or pitch horseshoes within one mile of the speaker’s stand, you can be fined $25.
-Women are prohibited from wearing patent leather shoes in public. It is illegal to fish for whales on Sunday.
-It is illegal to get a fish drunk. (didn’t see this one coming!)
-The Ohio driver’s education manual states that you must honk the horn whenever you pass another car.
-Participating or conducting a duel is prohibited.
-Breast feeding is not allowed in public.
-It is illegal for more than five women to live in a house.
-It is illegal to mistreat anything of great importance.
-No one may be arrested on Sunday or on the Fourth of July.
Hey congrats fellas, 5th fattest state in the USA. After reading this site, you’d think Ohio would be right up there with you fat asses…..nope! Get off your ass and quit bitching about the people bringing money into the state and get some exercise.
Also, check out Miss Teen South Carolina show the excellence of the South Carolina education system. Ya’ll must be proud!!
“I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the US should help the US, uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.”
Great read here, TOP REASONS WHY SOUTH CAROLINA IS A SHIT HOLE
First, the taxes are high, and getting worse. The sales tax recently increased to 6%, you pay State income tax, property taxes (which are also on an upward spiral), and taxes on your automobile. On top of this there are people in the State government who want to add on a full sales tax to car sales, in addition to the annual property tax. To make a long story short, you pay almost European level taxes when you add in Federal, but get little in the way of government services.
In South Carolina the schools are terrible so prepare to send your kids to a private school. Good luck paying for it though after they milk you on property taxes to pay for a system that they mismanage.
They don’t maintain the roads as they are infested with potholes and litter. It is truly a pathetic place once you drive 10 miles inland from any coast.
The people in South Carolina shoot themselves in the foot at every election by voting in people who continue to screw them. It is for this reason that I think they have no intention whatsoever of fixing the schools. They use the lottery money to send kids to college who didn’t even recieve a proper education in high school, and are therefore not prepared to survive college.
As some on here have said, they consider it to be full of rednecks and this would be a true statement. South Carolina has one of the highest incarceration rates, highest poverty rates, highest rate of high-school dropouts, highest rates of sexual diseases and lowest SAT scores.
The real estate prices are high in many areas, but wage levels are a joke. Be prepared to get into a lot of debt to live here.
Bottom line…don’t live here. If you have plans on moving here please reconsider. These people have their priorities way out of order and if you plan on getting something done right you need to be willing to do it for yourself. If you live up north and you’re tired of the cold, go to North Carolina or Florida.
Oh yeah, and the people here can’t drive. That’s why your insurance rates are high folks. You think the insurance industry is corrupt and to blame? If the insurance industry ran the State then the truck drivers wouldn’t be able to get by with allowing rocks and junk to fall into the road. If you don’t believe me then drive along I-26 between College Park and Ashley Phosphate on any weekday morning and see how many rock chips you get. When your windshield needs to be replaced they have to pay 100%. And insurance companies don’t like this, so the reason your rates are high is because you don’t know how to drive safely. Learn what a turn signal is for. Learn that tailgating leads to accidents. Stop driving on city streets like there’s some kind of trophy waiting for you at your home.
In South Carolina you pay the taxes of a European but recieve the public service level of a Mexican.
Rotty- At least you know why this topic was discussed at the bar you visited. Get it, you are part of the problem. It makes me happy to know that at least one more Fuckeye understands they are not wanted in SC. Ohio is way better than SC! Please do us a favor and spread that notion to your fellow Ohioans. That’s the spirit.
Since we’re all being categorized as Ohioans, I guess everyone from South Carolina is as ignorant as you.
Send us back to Ohio!!! This State would be dead, poor, and any other adjective you want to throw in to show how important the tourist dollars are, and since there are SO many people coming from Ohio, you’d be shit out of luck.
The Jamaicans/Mexicans would take over your State, then you’d be crying for those good ol’ Ohioans back…
Rotty, leave!! Do you have any friends here? If so, are they from Ohio? I bet that they are and that you bastards sit around at bars, make fun of this web site and bitch all night about South Carolinians, instead of chase ass ( that would probably blow ya’ll off anyway ). Go Buckeyes! Seriously, go!
Actually, I enjoy your bars and your women aren’t too bad either. Most of the attractive ones are probably from elsewhere, so I guess we’ll start to see some true South Carolina flavor after this weekend and the end of the ’season’.
Rotty- You just can’t grasp the concept of the website. Carolinians would gladly sacrifice economic development for the great place we once inhabited before your clan arrived. Plus, if the Ohioans left, there would be others in line to fill your shoes with that pretty tourist dollar in hand. I can’t believe that your only argument is money. Come on down to my town and see if you can find someone without money. “Doin’ fine without ya’ll.” Like I said before, I would rather see a mexican or black than a fucking Buckeye any day of the week! Piss off back to where you came from.
I would like to mention the ohio commentator on the lowcountry live show. While his name escapes me, you may be able to recognize his as the guy that replaced justin lock. Both of these corny little shits are from ohio. This guy had the nerve to point out his ohio state tie on the air last week, and sing their fucking theme song. This is the typical arrogance one would expect from an ohio scumbucket, but the fact that the news channel let this go on in this town is fucking terrible. I hope the lowbrow live show nothing but failure as well as the news station. This man should hang himself with this tie as a token of respect to the city that he has chosen to pollute with his bullshit.
I had to try and think of an incident when I was upset at an Ohioan in particular, and I thought of one with little difficulty.
The neighbor across the street from me and one house down has a buckeye flag flying and a buckeye sticker on his truck.. and of course, South Carolinians don’t give a damn about any Ohio stuff… Anyhow, it is a Sunday afternoon, after church and about 2pm and I am doing some cleaning in the garage and I hear a radio blaring. My first thought is that it is not appropriate and then I hear the language on his CD.. apparently, cussing is ok and especially on Sunday. I don’t even cut the grass on Sunday because of the possibility of the noise disturbing an otherwise tranquil Lord’s day.
In general, it seemed that the neighbor didn’t care about his fellow man, which is in direct conflict with the attitudes of most Southerners. I don’t know if this is just an Ohio thing or if all Yankees share this disregard for the Lord and fellow human beings.
We should all move to Edisto or somewhere off the beaten path. There are places on the coast that these Ohio shits have never even heard of. I think that we could quickly form a great community and have a no yankee policy. If anyone has any thoughts on this please post a reply.
Hey sc101, been to Edisto 2 weeks ago and half the population in the damn grocery store were transplants. There everywhere because of these f…in “time-share” shit the resorts are pushing for. They just come for a week and stay for life.!!!!
Damnit, are you serious? It is painful to watch everyday. These people are everywhere and so rude and inconsistent with the norms of the Lowcountry. Seriously, think about how bad it will be in fifteen years. I will not want to live here. “Head West young man, haven’t you been told?
Just think… In a few weeks they will be digging their cars out of the snowy driveway! The ones that are still left in Ohio that is. I wish I could get a break from all of the Ohio state paraphenalia. Just give me a week off. Wear a hat; wear a shirt, but don’t have every damn thing with Ohio State on it. That might be impressive back in the Buckeye state, be we just think you all are nuts. I can’t wait to take my vacation to Ohio this year. NOT!!!
If by taking our jobs you mean serving food at a fucking bar, then you are right. Most people from your state either move here to retire or they come to wait tables at a fucking chain restaurant in a tourist town. Either way, you are helping to spread the word of this website. Let me be the first to thank you. There is no such thing as bad publicity. I invite you to tell anyone who will listen about this website. The faster the word gets out, the sooner you and the pasty Fuckeyes can go back to Cuyahoga, Columbus, Zanesville, Cincinnati, or any other gray city. And as always, I hope you hit a deer on the way home.
I’m actually a ColdFusion developer. Not exactly sure how that’s serving food at a fucking bar, you fucking retard. When asking my new employer why they decided to consider long distance candidates, they said no locals were nearly qualified for a position that was open for three months.
Thank me? How am I spreading the word of this shithole website? I came and posted a simple comment — I’m sure your Google ranking went through the roof, fuckin’ jagoff.
The thing is, I don’t like much about Ohio, but you fucking hillbillies down here act like this is Paradise. I won’t be hitting any deer, but maybe a stupid South Carolinian who has no idea how to drive in the fucking rain. For being a bunch of idiotic Nascar loving white trash redneck motherfuckers, you sure as hell have no idea how to drive. A little rain falls and you dumb hicks think you are in the middle of Hurricane fucking Katrina.
You think I give two shits and a fuck if some “native low-country” pieces of shit doesn’t like me because I re-located and took a job from one of his toothless cousins. Odds are he will be cleaning my skidmarks from the toilet bowl at my place of employment.
THIS JUST IN! GATOR BITES OFF THE ARM OF LOCAL HILLBILLY.
Ooh, a ColdFusion developer. Guess we got a real exec on our hands! Maybe I will tell your employer that you said that. I am sure fellow South Carolinian coworkers would find that enlightening to know that they have no upward mobility in the company. “Fucking jagoff.” Sounds like you watched Casino last night and think you’re Joe Pesci.
Dave= Douchebag. Have a great day South Carolina. These Fuckeyes are starting to get the hint. Let’s keep up the good work. Dave, once again thanks for spreading the word.
This is an amusing site to say the least. I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and i can’t wait until the day i can leave to go back up there. The reason i am down here is because of a job, like many other ohioans. Despite what many of you think, South Carolina really isn’t that well off in education. They are in critical needs of teachers (especially math, my subject) for whatever reason anyone wants to say. I don’t know any specific reason why that is so i won’t take cheap shots or assume, but it is a fact. I wasn’t able to get a job in Ohio because i didn’t graduate with a certification to teach. However, there are a few states that hire unqualified teachers because they are so desperate, and SC fits that description. Don’t worry, they only hire you if you are in the process of getting your certificate so the teachers that don’t have a certificate aren’t completely clueless. Anyway, just thought i’d check this site out to see what was up. In a year or two, you will have one less ohioan on your hands. And by the way, if you don’t want more ohioans down here, please talk to the principals of the schools around here because they upload resumes from graduates at universities up north all the time. At the end of school last year, my principal gave me a stack of at least 50 resumes to go through to try and recruit some teachers. Most of them had jobs other places and were happy to stay up north, but there are more and more ohio teachers each year coming down. Just thought i’d give you a heads up.
Jason- you’re the man. I’ll put myself in charge of your Going Away party! If you have room in your car, could you please take more Fuckeyes with you. In the mean time, keep your pasty ass at home with your lesson plans. They probably include teaching the youngsters how to be an obnoxious, non-mannered, Fuckeye redneck. Get your ass on the highway and never come back.
Sorry about the palm tree and moon. That sticker bothers me too. Reason: I know a girl from Ohio that moved to the coast for a summer bartending job and she put a moon and palm tree sticker on her car that said “Carolina Girl.” Typical Ohio move. Only one way to have the charm of our Southern Belles; to be born here and grow up with our great people and learn how to be a real lady. Maybe we could look into changing our state symbol to that very impressive… Buckeye. Laugh your ass off SC. DAVE, you really speak volumes about Ohioans in general. Tired of seeing moons and palms? Well it’s our state. We just tolerate having all of that Ohio State shit crammed down our throats all fucking year. So, don’t complain about us being proud of OUR state while you’re here on a “FUCKEYE GREEN CARD.”
For my going away party, bring some kegs, and please try to limit the number of confederate flags and people that still support it because I find it offensive, and a lot of people here still seem to think the war isn’t over or something. And for the record, it is hard to be pasty when you are black so please try not to insult me with something you don’t know about. Also, I’m teaching them math and how to solve problems. I think you should come in and teach them manners because you are so good at showing how a typical southern gentlemen should act, right?
Why do Ohioans move South Carolina?…. Because we were too nice to them when they were on vacation. People, we have to nip this problem in the bud! Just try to sink to their level and be obnoxious and impolite whenever you positively identify a Buckeye. Make their experience here miserable and let’s pray they spread the word back in the great land of Ohio. South Carolina should extend our hospitality to visitors, not to transplants or transplants in the making. I can’t tell you how many times I hear, “We are from Ohio, and thinking about moving here.” Translation = Our house is for sale and when the piece of shit sells we are going to invade the Lowcountry. This should be your que to begin acting like an asshole. Stick together SC.
The use of the “N” word is completely unacceptable on this website. The context does not matter. This website DOES NOT support racism! Please refer to the mission statement for clarification. For those who have contributed this derogatory word to our feedback section, I would like to politley ask you to SHUT THE FUCK UP! We do not wish to block any one from the feedback forum, but we will if necessary. Thanks to all for the support, from the GOBACKTOOHIO team.
I am overly joyed to read that there are other locals that feel the way i do about, not just BOOhioans, but the whole army of yanks. I grew up here, as my father and grandparents did. I am pissed that the locals who feel this way are just packing up and leaving….. WTF are you doing. If you leave you are just running away to let me fend for myself…. I dont want to be the only one holding the door for ladies and i surely dont want to surf next to a yankee who has “this is my wave” mentality.
Please dont run….. we are the reason this place is what it is…. they cant ruin it. (well they did screw their own states up). Anyway…. i love this site. I keep on laughing every time i read the hate mail…

North Charleston, SC - North Charleston police arrested Janet Fackovec, 25, on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Fackovec is accused of having sex with a student. She was hired as a teacher’s assistant for a special needs class in September 2006.
Charleston City School Spokesman, Elliot Smalley said the principal was not at the school Thursday. The Principal, Dr. McGinley, spent the last five hours at a district wide principal’s meeting.
Smalley didn’t know if it was a special needs student, or even if it was a Stall student.
Smalley did say they do background checks on anyone in the classroom.
“It came as a total surprise,” Smalley said.
Fackovec will be suspended with pay.
I think this says it all about you scumbag losers in SC. Fucking worthless trash.
*Jason Crary, 36, an English teacher and girls soccer coach at Worthington Christian High School, in Worthington, Ohio has been arrested and jailed after felony sexual-assault charges were filed against him in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
*William Eiseman, 27, a former science teacher and football coach at Rutherford B. Hayes High School, in Delaware, Ohio who in October 2006 pleaded guilty to felony sexual battery of a the 16-year-old female student and who was sentenced to two years in prison, labeled a sexually oriented offender and whose teaching license was revoked
*Erin Baker, 25, a former assistant girls basketball coach at Port Clinton High School, in Port Clinton, Ohio has been charged in Ottawa County Municipal Court on allegations of having sexual contact with a female student. Baker who now faces six felony counts of sexual battery was arrested Friday and was released on $50,000 bond.
*Jason Miller, 26, a former teacher at Colerain High School in Cincinnati, Ohio appeared in court today saying he wants out of prison early. Miller who pleaded guilty last year to having sex with one female student and trying to have sex with another was sentenced to four years in prison.
We were born in South Carolina, grew up in Moncks Corner, work in Charleston, and currently live in Summerville. All of this is within a short drive of each other and some may believe we have lived a sheltered life, however, we have traveled extensively within the U.S. as well as abroad. We have even been to Ohio for a while; from Cleveland to Cincinatti, Toledo to Marietta and a lot in between. There are two amusement parks in Ohio… sorry, but that’s about it. Once we realized this we were out of there. Even in the immediately surrounding states (i.e.: Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania) Ohio is still a joke and a nuisance to the locals. Dare I say it, but even the most backwoods hilljack in Kentucky knows this to be true. Once the natives of Ohio realized how much they sucked they decided to go somewhere else to start over. Unfortunately for them, (as well as us locals here and elsewhere they settle) Ohioans did not leave their lack of social interaction skills, bad driving, disrespect for everything outside of OSU football, and general stupidity behind in the move. Instead, they move their families to an area they saw as a “different way of life” only to maintain their same yankee attitudes and manners (or lack of). “Myrtle Beach… Myrtle Beach…”, that is all I heard while living in Ohio and people asked where I was from. Myrtle Beach is great… go live there, but stay out of the Charleston area. You have crowded our roads, seduced contractors into massive neighborhoods (none of which are like the original neighborhoods of this area - treeless, no one knows their neighbor, houses on top of houses), and you are destroying the way of life we have here… the one that you loved so much you wanted your family to be a part of it. I can point an Ohioan out across the room (even if he isn’t wearing a Buckeye t-shirt or hat) just by the way he looks at others and treats those around him. GO BACK if you want things the way you had them up north! We were just fine without you, and will be just fine without you. I have been to Ohio… I have visited and lived in your home state… the difference between you and I is I CAME BACK HOME because Ohio sucks!
True story….Last week as I was walking out of a convenience store there was a guy in front of me, I’m female, and do you think he would hold the door open for me…hell no! I was thinking in my mind “I’ll bet he’s from Ohio”. Well just as I finished thinking that, what state was on his tags….Yep OHIO.
Yesterday as I was going into the same convenience store I saw a guy coming up behind me, I held the door for him. He said “Sweetie I think you have it backwards, I’m suppose to hold the door for you.” I told him I don’t shut a door in anyone’s face no matter if they are male or female. It’s just how I was raised.
Some one needs to fill the seats at the 2 Buffalo Wild Wings in the Charleston area, for those that don’t know the BWW was first established in that bastion of culture known as Columbus, Ohio.
I wouldn’t step foot in those corporate shit holes if they were giving away food, money, and beer. Jesus no wonder why they suck so bad. If anyone boasts these shit shacks as anything more than garbage, then they probably work there and are smoking crack with the kitchen. Nice call Jay.
Nope, not frail at all it’s just common courtesy here in the south. I couldn’t imagine letting a door shut in someone’s face that was walking right behind me.
I know this scag bitch from Ohio that came to college here in charleston with me. I was not born in south carolina…but I was born and raised in the south. This orange nappy head (you know the brunette who wishes she was blonde so she colors it some sick straw streaked color and its greasy and flat) walked around Charleston praising her Ohio roots.
Ive really never seen trashier looking girls than the ones Ive seen from up north and ohio. Do they not have mirrors in ohio or in the north.
BUT…I am proud to say…that this girl moved back to Ohio…and the only way she could get a boyfriend there was to match.com him. Ohioans belong together and should all stay where they came from.
Ohioans in Charleston live mostly in Mount Pleasant. They live there because they are under the impression that Mount Pleasant is the big time. As someone who has been in Charleston for 7 years and is a southerner (not tech. Charlestonian) Mount Pleasant SUCKS. It sucks because the only people over here are idiots and Ohioans. I have never come across more bullheaded, rude, misinformed idiots as I have in Mount Pleasant. They think I’on is real Charleston!!! hahaha silly Ohioans! Real Charleston…is DOWNTOWN! Im happy they mostly live over the new bridge and stay away from me…though they trickle in on the weekends and make bad attempts and picking up southern girls and guys…Im happy they choose to live over the bridge.
Now if we could only convince them that seawee was the big time…
It is a sad state of affairs for the locals of Mt.P. I’m surprised they have not yet resorted to Marshall law. It isn’t that much better downtown or on James Island in my opinion. No end in sight, but I think that we are making progress. Even the kind Yankees are on our side. Cheers to the implants who don’t stick out like sore thumbs.
I am originally from Tennessee, and now reside here in the charleston area. Sadly I had to spend a few years in Ohio b/c of my mom’s job. Let me tell y’all, those people are crazy!!!!! it’s true that they are invading all states, my town in Tennessee has become a favorite new stopping/staying ground.
I did however find my future husband in the Northern Kentucky and he is an Ohioan. The funniest part is that I misunderstood that when he said he went to University South Carolina that he was from South Carolina. The poor guy knew how much I hated Ohio, especially the rude, door slamming in your face buckeye men, he was scared for about five months to even tell me he was from Ohio. Once he knew he had me he then told me.
I promise he is not like the other “Buckeyes” and we clean up and act like we got some sense and manners. we will not be the ones slamming the door in your faces.
I have a theory as to why these Ohioans decide to plague the Palmetto state. They hear about the delicious southern cooking from fellow Ohioans who have already left a stain on South Carolina, especially a delicacy known as Black-eyed peas, which of course they misinterpret and believe they are called Buckeyed Peas, because I have never ever, ever met an Ohioan who didn’t insist on telling me how incredibly awesome the Buckeyes are. Piss on the Buckeyes, I wish my favorite football team could play in the inferior Big 10 conference, a.k.a Michigan vs. Ohio State Conference.
I was born and raised in East Tennessee went to UT and got a job in Cincinnati. I didnt really know what I was getting into. I have lived here for 4 years and I have learned alot about people from Ohio some of which I couldnt believe at first.
1. Since the race riots all the “rich” wink wink “white” people all moved out to the suburbs. The city is totally segregated. I am continually asked by people what it is like to be a racist white southerner, which I am not, yet they all seem to love telling me their “black” jokes. I call it undercover racism…they just hide it.
2. I have seen more toothless white trash up here than anywhere I have ever been in my life and they really have that yank attitude and accent. But of course since I am from the south..I am the white trash. I have a masters in engineering by the way.
3. The city is nasty…I mean nasty like stinks all summer from all the roadkill. No one takes care of anything up here. Not even themselves…I work with a fat ass from Cleveland and I can only describe his lard ass attire as extreme casual. If I told him he was a fat stinking yankee bastard they would probably fire me. Oh yeah..he is a dumbass too.
4. No one here knows anything about history…they dont seem to know that George Washington was from Virginia or for that matter so was OHIO! They also dont know that all the political leadership, up until the civil war, was from the south. They dont seem to put 2 and 2 together that the first president from this god forsaken state wasnt elected until after the civil war. But they love calling it the “mother” of american presidents.
5. Ohio State…they dont even know any other teams or conferences. Its like talking to a brick wall when discussing college football. Its like living in an Idiocracy (great movie and very much like OHIO).
6. Skyline Chili: Dogshit on spaghetti. The Ohio people know what I am talking about
7. They are leaving ohio because at the turn of the century (1880-1900)..when they all came here, the rotten filthy rabble from Europe they are/were, they were the cheapest labor in the country. New England moved its manufacturing here and “enslaved” the idiots here. Then of course the unions developed which gave them the holier than thou attitude that they have today. They feel entitled to a 30 dollar an hour job where they can sit on the fat ohio ass and do nothing. Unfortunately for them, all that work is moving overseas and to the south so like slime they ooze down with it. Ohio is a dying state…there is no doubt about that. Dying in culture, opportunity and environment. It makes me smile somedays.
8. As far as the civil war goes, these kraut yankees werent even here during the civil war, see last comment. I love the “we kicked your ass” quote. They dont have a single relative that fought in the civil war. Not to mention, we killed more of them than they killed of us and we had less of everything except the greatest generals the US has ever produced.
In conclusion, though I could go on for hours, these people, from ohio, are the same genetic trash that has ruined Europe..they come here and ruin everything and now they are moving to the south and ruining that too! They are like viri…or the borg…they shit in their living room then come over to your house because theirs stinks and then shits in yours! Probably a bad analogy..but I am mad now. JK. Anyway..they make me sick with their buffet eating, eucher playing, ohio state cheering, pig faces. When I told a guy at work I was 5th generation UT grad he said..I didnt even think the south had schools back then, Tennessee founded in 1794 before ohio was even a state and ohio state wasnt formed until AFTER the civil war! Gt it? Do you see? He is the first to go to college in his family by the way.
I seriously dont get what it is with people from ohio and moving HERE. I know that their state is all messed up because of them but why do they have to come to one of the last environmentally frienly states in the nation. Move to NJ or Ny or someplace like that. Another thing i dont get is why they always have to have that fake southern accent or say y’all when they are only talking to one person. Another thing people from the north say a lot is ain’t is in the dictionary. Yeah were from the south. We pretty much invented that. I think we would know!!!!!! And one more thing. They always say were making money off of them. I’d rather be broke and still have the drive out to edisto not be filled with logging trucks and temporary dirt roads. They always seem to think that they know WAY more about fishing and boating then true southern people. TRUE STORY: Me and my dad were driving in our boat when we discovered this fishing spot. To get through to it you have to go through this tiny opening that a lot of people know about. When we went through it this huge sportfisher (its right by the ICW and Fenwick cut so you know that they have no clue what they are doing) comes roaring through there and almost swamps our boat. of course I gave them the happy finger. Later on that day we went to otter island and say them there. My dad went and got pissed at them and asked them where they were from guess where??? OHIO!!!!
I might say that one reason most Pasties move here is simply the beach.. Have you seen them at the beach…. holy shit that is funny…. its like it was whole different contry… Next time you drive out to the beach and park… count the plates from Ohio, and then see if you can spot them on the beach…. If you see one trying to surf then you have completed your day…. Play in the sand you fat whales… stay off of our waves because im sure the sharks dont like you either…
I swear to God another busload of these fuckin’ idiots arrives in town each and every day. Do the foreclosure laws in Ohio have a clause that states you must vacate and move to the SC coast? I feel like throwing up every single time I see that goddamn red, white, and blue license plate. Then they hop out of the minivan with this look on their face like, “We’re here!!” They seem like they are begging for a native to ask about the loser-ass football team plastered all over their clothing. The same team LSU bitch-slapped weeks ago. Then they realize that nobody wants them here except fellow transplants. Next, they become friends with the transplants and begin to look down at the Southerners as a way to relate to each other. As Summer roles around, they complain about the heat and humidity. This is accompanied by remarks about how great this time of year is…. “back in Ohio.” I hate everyone from the state of Ohio. I hope all the bad things in life happen to them, and only them! Just throw southern hospitality out the window and give them all the finger.
I forgot to mention. I was drunk on the beach one night and ran into this slut on the boardwalk.
She let me hit it doggystyle on the beach. When I was finished I asked how long she was in town for… She replies, “I am going back to Ohio in two days, I’m on my honeymoon.” True fucking story!
Guys Guys Guys…..I would be glad to go back to Ohio but your women won’t let me, it seems they like a man that’s literate (that means can read and write) and actually has a pair of balls rather than pink pants and a bow tie…..fags….get over the war…I never knew an entire portion of one country could have LITTLE MAN SYNDROME…..HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Right Sam- We Southern males are very threatened by your lack of manners, respect, and appearance. NOT! If there are any women keeping you here they would be transplants; such as yourself. You were probably just fooled by her “carolina girl” sticker. Pink pants and bow ties will beat out tank tops and white “sneakers” anyday. See you in hell motherfucker. Go back to Ohio and take all of your friends/unwanted douchebags with you.
Did anybody catch that LSU vs. Ohio State game? I heard the Buckeyes played their best game of the season. I said it from the start of the season, Tressel looks like he could lead that team to #2 in the nation!
Sam, white trash is gonna find white trash no matter where you come from, and Ohioans INVENTED white trash. If you wanna take a few back with you, that will be just fine. That said, I agree with “finger,” you’re no doubt getting lucky with another yankee who is trying desperately to shed her horrible origins by slapping a palmetto sticker on her Suzuki..
Do you think Ohioans would have animosity toward Carolinians if we all invaded the Buckeye State? Fucking YES. I wish there was something notable enough to provoke me to visit that anus you yankees come from. I would love to come up there dressed in USC attire from head to toe. Talk about how tough the SEC is. Tell you how WE do it in the South and complain non stop about the cold and the snow and not having any sweet tea. Imagine that, then multiply the problem by 300000 and you would be designing your own website. Plain and simple: your state sucks; people are leaving by the thousands, and they are coming to the Lowcountry because you took advantage of our Southern Hospitality on your previous family vactions. The window of hospitality is closed and you googans are not welcome. Not on the highways, not on the waterways, not in the bars. And 2-3 years doesn’t make you a local. You never will be. I am from the Lowcountry, and you are from Ohio
Been meaning to clarify this. I don’t think anyone has set the record straight. If you are from Ohio, then you are a YANKEE. Period. End of story. Live with it. I see comments throughout the site proclaiming that Ohioans are not Yanks. They are. So for all of you Ohio Yankees; go back to your real second home, Myrtle Beach. That’s where it all began for you bastards and with the help of this site, hopefully; that’s where it will end!

May 2nd, 2007 at 7:11 pm

Here’s my Ohio migration theory:

May 4th, 2007 at 12:02 pm

Wow, The Captain sounds like a dick.
May 4th, 2007 at 2:28 pm
May 4th, 2007 at 2:56 pm
I agree with Blufftonian above. They have taken over here in Bluffton, Beafort and Hilton Head.. We have SUN CITY that is full of those old crabby Ohio yankees. GO HOME YANKEE! We don’t give a damn how you do it up north..

What is skegging?
May 5th, 2007 at 8:22 pm
What do you think would happen to all of these school districts if they took this site’s advice? I asked my boss why it was that a lot of the teachers were from somewhere other than SC. Her reply, “The teachers up north are better educated, we just can’t find enough qualified teachers from here.” While visiting Ohio this past spring I can’t tell you how many commericals were for either visitng or going to live in SC. I believe you should talk to your local politicians and business people and tell them to stop trying to get so many “Yanks” down here. Also, why is there so many Virginia battle flags flying around your state?
May 6th, 2007 at 1:23 pm
Want to talk about education? FACT: In the most recent poll (2006), where 1 being the highest rank, SC is ranked 26th in the nation for “smartest state”, Ohio is 34th (according to Morgan Quinto Press - State and City Ranking Publications). According to the US Census Bureau for number of college graduates, SC ranks 38 where Ohio is 41.
May 6th, 2007 at 2:41 pm
WB - Great info. Even Kentucky ranks higher than Ohio! From what I’ve seen of KY, that’s not sayin’ much for Ohio but I’d rather live next to someone from KY than OH any day.
May 6th, 2007 at 5:10 pm
The week after Thanksgiving several years back, I had to go to company HQ in northwest Ohio. I went to the local Walmart one evening to kill some time. What did they have parked out front? Riding mowers with snow plows on the front. But the kicker was that there was a sort of plastic tent over the seat where you zipped yourself in to keep from the elements. WTF?????? Screw that. I’m keeping my @$$ in Dixie!
May 6th, 2007 at 10:55 pm
WB, hey man, how about using numbers from the United States Department of Education and the National Assessment of Educational Progress. You need to find some more credible stats man.
May 6th, 2007 at 11:15 pm
Do you want a link to federal government scoring reports? SC is more below basic than Ohio.
May 7th, 2007 at 10:59 am
Teach, My resources are plenty credible. Look them up. If you have something that contradicts my findings, post it (w/reference). Every poll will be a little different, but should be generally close. Neither place you’ve suggested (ed.com & nea.com) had anything that I could find that was relative to over-all national rankings in scholastic aptitude. They are very circuitous sites to navigate. Maybe you will have better luck.

NOT!
May 7th, 2007 at 9:42 pm

May 8th, 2007 at 4:48 pm
Tiny Tim, I will gladly keep our uniqueness thank you. Are you sure though that your server(s) are not people from Ohio themselves? Just curious.
I will say that I receive bad service occasionally but I put it down to it either being a bad day for that person or they hail from Ohio.
After visiting DC as of late I have to say it seems you have done a fantastic job of influencing those folks as well.
When will this madness end?
May 8th, 2007 at 6:53 pm

May 10th, 2007 at 9:03 pm
Stonewall - I think you’re right. There’s no way there are so many people just visiting to account for the number of plates.
May 11th, 2007 at 12:29 pm
Theory 6 is incomplete and is part of the problem. Southern Gentlemen and Ladies rightfully ignore the Ohioan mating calls. The result, as stated, causes the Ohio male and female to “get together” and the result of that action is more Ohioans to infiltrate South Carolina. Carolinians are unwittingly exacerbating their problems. What you need to do is woo the opposite sex Ohioan to meet you in Georgia. Then, when they show up, head home.
May 11th, 2007 at 1:02 pm
In NYC, you have “Little Italy”, “China Town”, etc. Charleston has turned into “Little Ohio”.
May 13th, 2007 at 6:44 am
Go Dixie!!!
May 13th, 2007 at 2:18 pm
I know why the Ohioans are here. They’re here for the same reason I came from philly.
It’s explained in this joke…
“What do southerners call Yankees down south?”
“Boss”
And it’s true.
May 13th, 2007 at 3:32 pm
Philly. Now there’s a place I’d like to visit. NOT!!
May 13th, 2007 at 4:56 pm
It’s not my fault, I was recruited because my talents and engineering expertise could not be found in this area of the world. I didn’t come down here on my own will. I was head hunted for a handsome salary and I’m more than happy to line my pockets with your states/cities money.
May 14th, 2007 at 2:05 pm
ThaManagement - You sure have a talent at being an arrogant cocky SOB don’t you?! FYI, Some of the best engineering schools in the country are SC, NC and GA. I don’t blame you for wanting to get out of that crap hole excuse for a city. I’d fear for my life if I lived in such a crime ridden gangster place. Just remember, we really don’t care how you did it in Philly, so when in our city, keep your thoughts to yourself.

The northerners that travel to Florida for wintering and only make it halfway back to Ohio are called half-backs!
May 17th, 2007 at 6:42 pm

May 18th, 2007 at 10:29 am
One teacher here, not at the Academic Magnet, is from Ohio. However he seems to have developed a higher form of culture similar to that of Southerners. He describes that the reason for coming to Charleston was originaly because Ohioans are from birth trained to want to escape and spread the Ohioan ideals to the rest of the United States. Although this may be some form of trickery, I personaly believe this as a viable truth.

Hey Brian,
Got a little press release for you:
–
For immediate release

May 22nd, 2007 at 3:30 pm
What are you people, a bunch of fat old women/men? Who the hell actually complains about something like this? And referring to people moving from Ohio to SC as “immigrants” is hilarious, as I wouldn’t expect less from that racist-laden state.
May 23rd, 2007 at 7:19 pm
No, the fat pasty people are Ohio immigrants. I thought we established that.
I’m glad you think so poorly of our state. That’s one less person we have to worry about moving here. Spread the word, jackass!
May 25th, 2007 at 8:54 am
I live in Ohio and come down to this beautiful town to visit my daughter who works at MUSC. I am always amazed at the hospitality that I see here(just like I see in Ohio). While watching a basketball game at a local bar, I heard about this web site and decided to check it out. Is it true that this was started by a person that is from Illinois? I was really disappointed by the negative comments that I have read here. So much for “Southern Hospitality”! Charleston is a beautiful town, but so is Cleveland Ohio. Grow up!
May 25th, 2007 at 5:53 pm
Lets clear it up. There is not one person involved with this site who is not from south carolina. Cleveland needs to advertise more.
May 26th, 2007 at 8:15 pm
wow…I can’t believe that there is so much prejudice from people her towards people from Northern states.
May 29th, 2007 at 9:48 pm
May 29th, 2007 at 9:55 pm
Ryan Brewer ring a bell for you South Carolina fans?!?! The only way you were able to beat Ohio State is by recruiting an Ohio player!! I didn’t hear you complaining then….
May 30th, 2007 at 1:40 pm
ohioans are gay and thats y they move down here so they can buy designer hand bags cheaper and chill wid our hot local woman.
June 9th, 2007 at 8:51 am
June 13th, 2007 at 5:48 pm
June 22nd, 2007 at 10:03 am
I’m hearing a lot about that missing woman up in Ohio and how the search continues. I have to ask: have they looked in SC yet? That’s where they usually turn up..
June 27th, 2007 at 4:58 am
I noticed that Harris Teeter and Publix have started selling Skyline Chili in their frozen section. Why would I want to go back to Ohio now?
June 27th, 2007 at 7:16 pm
Cheer up. It could be worse. They could be immigrating from Wisconsin.

July 19th, 2007 at 9:55 am
July 19th, 2007 at 6:30 pm
July 21st, 2007 at 5:58 pm

July 26th, 2007 at 11:14 pm
Ha ha i love the site, however i do have to admit though i was born and raised in SC i moved to Ohio about eight months ago….and i turned right around to come back. the people there are so rude. before i left SC i too felt there were more ohio plates on the road here than there were in OH.My car currently has oh plates and that will change as soon as possible. i will never doubt that SC is my home and where i belong.
July 27th, 2007 at 9:34 pm
Please find a way to give out some free stickers. I would pass out one hundred a day, but I can’t pay 3.99$ per sticker. There is a simple answer to all that this site is about. We (South Carolina) hate you (Ohio) enough to dedicate a website telling the world about it. If you are from Ohio, take an Ohioan back with you.
July 28th, 2007 at 3:22 pm
Katie: you’re a Yankee. Please leave and shut the fuck up. Or enlist and support the banner you cry about.
Kim: Go the fuck back home. You will NEVER EVER be welcome here. Ever. Did I make that clear?
Glenn: Good luck getting those ohioans back home! Go back first and set an example!!
July 28th, 2007 at 8:00 pm
I hope that everyone in Ohio knows that they are HATED by true southerners. I am proud to say I have never crossed the Mason-Dixon line. I am well-traveled, which is why I have never been to that shit ass part of America.
July 28th, 2007 at 8:10 pm
The list of Shit… 1) OHIO, 2) NEW JERSEY, 3) NEW YORK, 4) PENNSYLVANIA, 5) MICHIGAN. Anyone from any of these states or neighboring states can go to hell. These Jersey shits are closing the gap quickly, but Ohio still blows the most.

(From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Ravenel,_Jr._Bridge)
”
Funding
July 31st, 2007 at 5:29 pm

August 23rd, 2007 at 9:09 pm
I hope that everyone is spreading the hate about these yankee shits. I have concluded that the only way to get them back to the snow is to treat them like shit and let them know they are unwanted. I would gladly take a cut in yearly earnings if they would leave. If by chance you are an Ohioan on your way back home; please take a yankee and a mexican with you. Hope you bastards freeze to death this winter.
August 23rd, 2007 at 9:16 pm
Speaking of Mexicans… Could we get a website dedicated to that ethnic group. Oh I forgot, we have one>> http://www.dea.gov. Check out the MOST WANTED list. Every fucking one of them is a Mexican. It is eye-opening. These greaseballs are taking over the country and they all have criminal backgrounds. Still, I would rather have a mexican living beside me than an Ohioan.
August 25th, 2007 at 9:24 pm

August 27th, 2007 at 6:49 pm
This shit is hilarious. I just moved here about 2 weeks ago from NW Ohio, and heard about this the other night at the bar, not sure how anyone (even from Ohio) can’t get a laugh from this site.

OHIO LAWS don’t believe me? check it out for yourself. http://www.dumblaws.com

Rotty and Josh- Will you please go home. And… if you each have a four seat car, you can take six more Ohio bastards with you when you leave!

August 29th, 2007 at 8:48 pm
Rotty- At least you know why this topic was discussed at the bar you visited. Get it, you are part of the problem. It makes me happy to know that at least one more Fuckeye understands they are not wanted in SC. Ohio is way better than SC! Please do us a favor and spread that notion to your fellow Ohioans. That’s the spirit.
August 30th, 2007 at 8:12 am
Since we’re all being categorized as Ohioans, I guess everyone from South Carolina is as ignorant as you.
Send us back to Ohio!!! This State would be dead, poor, and any other adjective you want to throw in to show how important the tourist dollars are, and since there are SO many people coming from Ohio, you’d be shit out of luck.
The Jamaicans/Mexicans would take over your State, then you’d be crying for those good ol’ Ohioans back…
August 30th, 2007 at 6:34 pm
Rotty, leave!! Do you have any friends here? If so, are they from Ohio? I bet that they are and that you bastards sit around at bars, make fun of this web site and bitch all night about South Carolinians, instead of chase ass ( that would probably blow ya’ll off anyway ). Go Buckeyes! Seriously, go!
August 30th, 2007 at 8:11 pm
Actually, I enjoy your bars and your women aren’t too bad either. Most of the attractive ones are probably from elsewhere, so I guess we’ll start to see some true South Carolina flavor after this weekend and the end of the ’season’.
August 30th, 2007 at 9:53 pm
Rotty- You just can’t grasp the concept of the website. Carolinians would gladly sacrifice economic development for the great place we once inhabited before your clan arrived. Plus, if the Ohioans left, there would be others in line to fill your shoes with that pretty tourist dollar in hand. I can’t believe that your only argument is money. Come on down to my town and see if you can find someone without money. “Doin’ fine without ya’ll.” Like I said before, I would rather see a mexican or black than a fucking Buckeye any day of the week! Piss off back to where you came from.
September 2nd, 2007 at 5:54 pm
September 4th, 2007 at 8:43 am
September 5th, 2007 at 8:19 am
They are the worst of the worst, and as for the news guy we should find out his name and make a complaint.
September 5th, 2007 at 7:32 pm
We should all move to Edisto or somewhere off the beaten path. There are places on the coast that these Ohio shits have never even heard of. I think that we could quickly form a great community and have a no yankee policy. If anyone has any thoughts on this please post a reply.
September 5th, 2007 at 7:38 pm
P.S.- I hear that these bastards are moving to the upstate as well.
September 5th, 2007 at 8:53 pm
There is no refuge, at least to my knowledge. But if your buyin I’m flyin.
September 5th, 2007 at 9:00 pm
The Ohio intruder was Dave Williams. He is the suit on lowlife live who went too far. That show sucks anyway, no one saw his rant.
September 10th, 2007 at 8:55 pm
Do all Southerners bitch as much as you guys? Want a tissue?
September 12th, 2007 at 7:07 pm
Hey sc101, been to Edisto 2 weeks ago and half the population in the damn grocery store were transplants. There everywhere because of these f…in “time-share” shit the resorts are pushing for. They just come for a week and stay for life.!!!!
September 14th, 2007 at 3:50 pm
Damnit, are you serious? It is painful to watch everyday. These people are everywhere and so rude and inconsistent with the norms of the Lowcountry. Seriously, think about how bad it will be in fifteen years. I will not want to live here. “Head West young man, haven’t you been told?
September 15th, 2007 at 7:24 pm
Just think… In a few weeks they will be digging their cars out of the snowy driveway! The ones that are still left in Ohio that is. I wish I could get a break from all of the Ohio state paraphenalia. Just give me a week off. Wear a hat; wear a shirt, but don’t have every damn thing with Ohio State on it. That might be impressive back in the Buckeye state, be we just think you all are nuts. I can’t wait to take my vacation to Ohio this year. NOT!!!
September 19th, 2007 at 9:21 pm
So how exactly are all of the dumb people from Ohio taking your jobs?
Fact: I work at one the biggest companies in Charleston and not ONE member of Upper Management is from South Carolina.
September 19th, 2007 at 10:38 pm
September 19th, 2007 at 10:41 pm
To Dave: FACT- All true South Carolinians hate Ohioans. Have fun living amongst people that secretly despise you.
September 20th, 2007 at 7:14 pm
That’s a shame. Hope you’re next, sc101.
September 20th, 2007 at 9:54 pm
Ooh, a ColdFusion developer. Guess we got a real exec on our hands! Maybe I will tell your employer that you said that. I am sure fellow South Carolinian coworkers would find that enlightening to know that they have no upward mobility in the company. “Fucking jagoff.” Sounds like you watched Casino last night and think you’re Joe Pesci.
Dave= Douchebag. Have a great day South Carolina. These Fuckeyes are starting to get the hint. Let’s keep up the good work. Dave, once again thanks for spreading the word.
September 21st, 2007 at 12:52 pm
September 21st, 2007 at 4:50 pm
Jason- you’re the man. I’ll put myself in charge of your Going Away party! If you have room in your car, could you please take more Fuckeyes with you. In the mean time, keep your pasty ass at home with your lesson plans. They probably include teaching the youngsters how to be an obnoxious, non-mannered, Fuckeye redneck. Get your ass on the highway and never come back.
September 21st, 2007 at 7:51 pm
Yeah, I’m spreading the word. I’ve printed out a few bumper stickers to put next to my cool moon and tree sticker.
September 21st, 2007 at 8:32 pm
September 22nd, 2007 at 9:52 am

October 7th, 2007 at 5:25 pm

Need I go on????
November 5th, 2007 at 2:49 pm
November 5th, 2007 at 8:08 pm
Great post!!
November 16th, 2007 at 6:05 pm
Some one needs to fill the seats at the 2 Buffalo Wild Wings in the Charleston area, for those that don’t know the BWW was first established in that bastion of culture known as Columbus, Ohio.
November 19th, 2007 at 11:08 am
I wouldn’t step foot in those corporate shit holes if they were giving away food, money, and beer. Jesus no wonder why they suck so bad. If anyone boasts these shit shacks as anything more than garbage, then they probably work there and are smoking crack with the kitchen. Nice call Jay.
December 2nd, 2007 at 8:14 pm
I’m sorry, but are your SC women too frail and delicate to be able to hold a door open for themselves?
December 4th, 2007 at 11:00 pm

Ick.

wild wings is nasty. That place is f-ing sick. And its probably one of the gayest bars in downtown charleston.

My theory for Charleston:

As for the comment from Sara, we’ll even open the double doors for your big ass (entering the airport hopefully).

Awww, thank you so much! But nope, no doors to the airport. Too bad, right? hahaha

OK..here we go
I was born and raised in East Tennessee went to UT and got a job in Cincinnati.
Goodnite

January 27th, 2008 at 1:23 pm

January 31st, 2008 at 4:26 pm
Sam, white trash is gonna find white trash no matter where you come from, and Ohioans INVENTED white trash. If you wanna take a few back with you, that will be just fine. That said, I agree with “finger,” you’re no doubt getting lucky with another yankee who is trying desperately to shed her horrible origins by slapping a palmetto sticker on her Suzuki..
January 31st, 2008 at 8:28 pm
