So I am trying to understand the whole football argument…? Is he bitter over a sporting event that took place over 5 years ago? Perhaps what this fine gentleman is trying to point out in that statement is that Ohio sucks so horribly bad that it makes all other states look that much better, including SC despite its literacy short comings? And speaking of illiteracy… I suppose he meant homo… being short for homosexual… maybe he can explain the whole “HO-MO” thing… what exactly is that short for? tard (I bet he knows what that is short for). Next… tax base… now he says the state can’t stand on its own two feet with out this influx of immigrants… now would this be the legal or illegal kind? Now based on my knowledge of immigration in the state of SC, not very many of the so called “immigrants” are the legal kind. Which most definitely means that they do not contribute to the tax base. Which brings me to another point… I am not quite sure this kind fellow has a full understanding of the word immigrant… which was defined by good old Mr. Webster as being “a person who comes to a country to take up permanent residence.” Keyword… “country”. Is Ohio another country? tard (there it is again, figured it out yet… tard?). Perhaps the word he was looking for was “transplant”, defined as “to remove from one place or context and settle or introduce elsewhere”. But then again, what do I know… I am only an “an asshole and an inbred cookiepuss”… definition of cookiepuss please? tard. He should just take a hint and go back to ohio. By the way… maybe he could answer me a question… if SC is trully that bad of a place to live… why did he decide to leave Ohio for it? I just heard about your website last night on abc news, and I was quite offended, being from the north myself. (not Ohio, Pennsylvania) First of all I am not a yankee. Never have been and never will be. I personally had nothing to do with the civil war or civil rights, maybe my ancestors did (if they even lived in the north at the time) but I wasn’t even born yet, but you still call us yankees? Does that really make sense? Now I know southern school systems are not as good as northern ones, but I think you can tell that that is just a little silly. As far as taking your jobs goes, if anyone in the south had half of the work ethic as we do in the north we wouldn’t be able to take your jobs so easily. Oh and your little kick the can joke, may be true and sickly funny to you, but South Carolina has a higher teen pregnancy rate than Ohio every year since 1995, so while northern kids are playing kick the can, southen ones are getting knocked up. If you think it’s alright for you to tell everyone from Ohio to go back, why don’t you just tell all the blacks, jews asians, ect. to go back where they came from as well? ‘Friction is a drag’, No, I think you misunderstood my analogy, “Ohioans” are LIKE (Illegal) Mexicans in the way they act. The overwhelming majority of “Ohioans that move here bitch about it and rave about how nice Ohio is, how smart they are and wave the Buckeye flag. Similar in the way many Mexicans bitch about the US, protest our laws and wave their country’s flag. You guys, like them, should not live here if you can’t respect it or don’t like it. I (we) probably wouldn’t mind “Ohioans” as a whole if they weren’t so arrogant and didn’t belittle our heritage and most importantly, the very city that we love so much and grew up (live) in. If you decide to come down and settle in South Carolina (and honestly, we’d much prefer you don’t), then it is highly advisable that attitudes and comments such as that above be kept to yourself.
Anonymously posting such vitriol on an internet message board is not only terribly immature, but cowardly as well. I am not a violent individual sir, but the reaction you are likely to receive from some of my fellow Carolinians echoing such sentiment on say, Main & Gervais street would certainly make you think twice about saying such things out loud. You may get away with it in Toledo or Cincinnati, but you do not come down to our state and talk in such a manner.

I understand hate and where it comes from, hate and rage is taught to you throughout your life, so if your taught at a young age to hate people from another state. Your more then likely going to hate them for life, and there are cases of reversed feelings, but in general feelings don’t change.
I understand that some people from Ohio that are on vacation drive like idiots through town, but their on a trip in a new city and/or state and like all of us have no clue where we are going. I have seen cars from all over the nation making quick turns and slamming on their brakes or even damn near hitting me as I walk down the street. But I don’t know the facts but this state’s main industry has to be either the ports, tourism, and maybe farming or manufacturing, not sure. But I believe the lively hood of this city and other towns and city’s(hilton head, myrtle beach) thrive off the fact that millions of people from all over the world(yes, there is a shit ton from Ohio) come to your state to mask in it’s glory. If people didn’t travel then this city would not even exist. Think of all the culture that there is in the city, I’m writing this as a huge art festivel rages across the place, which brings thousands of people to your city and makes you a ton of money, and some are rude and just don’t seem to get it, but there are others that bring a great wealth of knowledge to your time honored traditions.
My point is that not everybody from Ohio are assholes, idiots, inbreds, or any other names that I may have forgot. Like I would say when I sent some time in Austraila, and they don’t care to much for Americans, Don’t hate me because I’m from Ohio, if you decide to hate me do it because you know that I’m an asshole and you can’t stand to be around me, that’s a good reason to hate. And I’m a little confused - DB want us to come here to spend our money on a house, but doesn’t want us to live here? Alrighty, then….. Here’s a fact that SC needs to understand - no tourists, no transplants = no state economy. One more thing - the left lane is for faster traffic, not to cruise at 10 miles below the speed limit. Good Lord, that’s it! We’re trying to get out of SC to go back to Ohio but we can’t because Ma and Pa Kettle have clogged the highway!

I think the best part of this is the complaints that South Carolinians are bad drivers??? Ever been on East Bay Street behind an Ohio liscense plate???? If you have you will understand!!! Further more if you don’t like the way we do things, Delta is ready when you are. I may be a product of the South Carolina public school system, but I am certainly smart enough to realize if I am unhappy to change my situation, not expect the majority the adapt to my ideas and perceptions. I have lived in Charleston all of my life and it is beyond why people move here from other areas and constantly ramble on about how they did things there…….well if it was that great why have you moved here??? This is why South Carolinians have grown to ceate websites such as this one. If you want to be here, except your new surroundings and try to understand that our families have been here for generations and we are proud of that, we don’t want constant criticism about what you think our short comings are. Instead maybe try to appreciate what this state has to offer and change our opinions about folks from Ohio. When the Civil War ended and Lincoln was unfortunately assasinated (which by the way the things that he did to hold the union together were on the level if not more unconstitutional than the things that bush has done and to the northerners of the time the Civil War was the Nam of the 1860’s) it through the south into a massive economic recession ( ever heard Alabama’s Song of the South the line “Wall street fell, but we were so poor that we couldn’t tell” is not entirely inaccurate) the south did not begin to recover for almost a hundred years to to you yes the civil war was ages ago but to me it was yesterday. I suggest you study European history you will find that some peoples actually do hold grudges for more than 100 years.
Oh a we are as you so Eloquently put it “fucking Rascists” Southerners may be more inclined to wear confederate flags or speak ill of a group but for the most part the rule in the south is hate the group love the individual, but in the north it is love the group hate the individual which is so much worse and for the record slavery in the north lasted much longer than it did in the south it was a form of economic slavery but it was slavery none the less.

And by the way, I see more racism TOWARD whites from blacks than the other way around (see Duke Lacross players situation. Where is the right referend Jesse now?). It is no big deal that we lost war. Ohioans really are nice. They are so well-mannered. All of them really seem to treat each other as nice as they treat us Southerners. They never wave, which as we know is very polite. They are very demanding. I love when one opens their mouth and that pleasant whiney, nasal voice comes singing in my ear. They are great about littering the streets and beaches. No easier way to a Southerners heart than to shit all over the state they grew up cherishing. They also bring those beautiful Yankee girls with them. I just love it when they get dressed up as skanks and try to pass themselves off as Southern Belles. And thank god football season is around the corner. After spending multiple years in both states this is simply my opinion:
Ohio = not much to do, great shopping, plenty of corn crop to go around,entertaining football fans, good golfing,awesome amusement parks/zoo’s, fun available on lakes and rivers, people that are unbelievably wealthy, and unbelievably poor. Red neck, farm owning, tractor driving people are not in short supply (high school with members of the FFA going to states soil competition, a day off of school for the large amounts of students involved in the fairs). On the flip side the lexus/bmw driving, louis vutton pursing carrying kind equipped with maids and mansions are incredibly easy to find, as well as the inbetween.
South Carolina = Good food that is bad for you, fans that love their football, with a good reason…sometimes, great golfing, an abundance of fun on the beaches, in the ocean as well as lakes. People with a large sum of money that are involved in all the typical “southern” activities, own vera bradley, rainbows, polo, guy harvey, marthas vineyard, have something(or multiple things) monogramed and drive suvs or trucks(and a huge chance they were in a sorority/fraternity back in the day). There are also those with that deep southern accent that wear camo, go huntin’, fishin’, chew tobacco, drive beat up old trucks, and shop at wal mart for everything. And of course we can’t forget those inbetween as well.
and my point exactly? I like both places! there are good things about both. I would really like to know how many people have been to both places and spent a reasonable amount of time and are able to offer up a valid opinion about the opposite place!–(this goes for those of you backing up charleston/the south). I mean obviously ohio is not a hot spot to travel to, and yes when people vacation they can have certain thoughts about how there life back in ohio/”up north” is better than in south carolina. but they will return eventually… Those who move to the south and then complain, why would you stay if you dont like the people/food/etc? I am in south carolina now and I like it! Yes I amd still an Ohio State Fan, but also a fan of the gamecocks (well aware the the cocks have beaten osu twice-was there for one of them). I was raised a buckeye I can’t help that! Being angry with ohioans and making websites like this isnt helping the fact that yall believe they are rude! Look at all the hot tempers flying around the blogs! Why can’t we all just get along?! haha
This is my favorite part. There are bad drivers all over the world! so when you group ohioans together and say they are the worst drivers, you are wrong. (look at any worst drivers in America list they aren’t close to number one). There are also people that dress horribly, are ugly, have bad makeup…etc (and all the other stereotypes that I have read on this site) all over the place, not just in ohio, and not every man/woman is good looking in the south!

So when the term yankee is thrown around you are technically including yourself, because anywhere outside of America we are ALL yankees!
I love being able to be exposed to the different cultures, it is a great learning experience and I know far to many people that are stuck in their own, and are unable to see the good in various cultures! BROADEN YOUR HORIZON!

Ohio sucks. You will never see a South Carolinian there. South Carolina is better or we would never see an Ohioan here. Ohioans are assholes; therefore they are not welcome.

Dear Northern gals. I am so very sorry . I was just tryin’ to get sum attention. I am a skanky ho and i don’t know no better. You Northern gals are all so smart and beautiful and I know that I will never measure up to any of you’s. I walk the 30 blocks to the public beach access every day and beg the tourists for a hand out. Sometimes I try in offer my swallowing skills to the handsome Northern men. BUT they aint want nuthin to do with me. Sometimes I pretend that I am stayin at one of those purdy hotels on the beach front. I even jump in the pools to get a bath. See I do try to get clean. At the end of the day, I walk home the 30 blocks and call it a good day. My lil Tammie May is only 7 years old, but she keeps a good eye on my brood while I am out beggin . I pologize for my dumb stuff i wrote on here, after all i’m only a crack hore. love to all you’n northern people, we need your money so keep comin’ back!

Please pray for me. I am in a psycho unit in Ohio and I am fat and ugly. I have two personalities. I am Karen and I am Buckeye Girl. I am going on a fake trip to Charleston on Monday and staying at a fake condo until the end of October. I want to be a Carolina Girl so bad but it is NEVER going to happen. I will just have to stay in Ohio and use my vibe and dream my wet dreams about Sherman. He’s my hero.
